The Seattle Mariners and Funko have teamed up to give away an all new King Felix figurine to 20,000 lucky fans.
The vinyl figure portrays Felix Hernandez in a royal cape and wearing a crown which bears his name and the Mariners logo. His regal pose is accented by a scepter topped with a baseball, a fitting tribute to the dominant right handed pitcher.
The giveaway corresponds with Seattle’s Oktoberfest event which requires a special ticket so it is safe to assume that this Saturday day game will be sold out. To receive your King Felix Pop figure, simply be one of the first 20,000 people into the stadium on September 23, 2017 – no extra admission or special ticket is required.
King Felix missed all of May and most of June this season and returned to the team on July 4th to throw six innings with 5 ER, 4 BB, 5 K, and 2 HR. Hernandez has been named an American League All Star six times and won the Cy Young Award in 2010. His career WAR is ranked 14th among active players and fourth among active pitchers.
At the time of this writing, it is unknown if the King Felix Pop figure will align with any Funko numbering sequence but it will be added to any checklist if that becomes the case.
