Every box contains one numbered and encased card with a hand-signed autograph. Because these are buybacks from every era of Topps products, the checklist is not numbered and there are no inserts or parallels.
Every card includes a gold-foil stamp of the Archives Signature Series logo. Cards are also numbered but there is no standard numbering and players may appear in this set on various different buybacks.
For example, Tony Perez appears in this set on a 1985 buyback #/25 for the Reds, 1984 #/99 for the Phillies, and a 1979 #/80 for the Expos among others.
A similar set for active players was also released in the same manner.
This set is a bit of a gamble for collectors seeking to flip cards on eBay for a higher value. A 1958 Hank Aaron card sold for over $750 (October 2019) and several cards sell for well over $100 but a 1982 Rick Honeycutt sold for less than $3, or 6% of the MSRP for a box.
Our checklist includes all of the players featured in the series. Clicking a link within the checklist will direct you to an affiliate retailer or appropriate eBay listings for the card.
