Week two of the Topps Throwback Thursday series adds six cards to the collection. 1,665 packs of week one’s 1955 Bowman throwback were sold and this week’s 1958 Topps throwback is sure to be equally as popular.
The 1958 Topps baseball series is most notable for including the rookie card of four time all star and two time MVP, Roger Maris. In keeping with Maris’ legacy, the 2016 Topps Throwback honoring the 1958 design is focused entirely on power hitting outfielders from around the league.
The six cards added to the series are Yoenis Cespedes, Bryce Harper, Jose Bautista, Giancarlo Stanton, Carlos Beltran, and Nomar Mazara. It is worth noting that this is the second Bryce Harper card in as many weeks and that Mazara is the second rookie to be featured in this series.
As with all cards in this series, this week’s Topps Throwback cards are only available for one week through the Topps website and come in packs of six.
