1954 Brooke Bond British Birds trading cards were the first series of trading cards to be released by the tea maker. Over the course of 45 years, Brooke Bonds would distribute over 80 different sets featuring original artwork.
This cards in this seat measure 1 1/2″ by 2 3/4″ which makes them a shade bigger than standard tobacco cards but much smaller than a modern day trading card. The checklist is a modest 20 cards which ranks it among the shortest checklists of any Brooke Bond series.
The cards are painted by noted wildlife painter Charles Tunnicliffe who contributed artwork for many sets during the 1950s and 1960s.
Our checklist includes all of the cards in this collection. Clicking a link will direct you to an affiliate retailer or to relevant eBay listings.
