Queen is kind of a big deal. As if it weren’t enough to have sold hundreds of millions of records around the world and to be among the most iconic music acts of all time, the band has also added an Oscar winning movie, countless song licenses, and a series of Funko Pop Rocks figures to their list of accomplishments.
A complete checklist of Funko’s music inspired line of vinyl figurines can be found under the main tab of this article. The Queen additions are as follows:
- 92 – Freddie Mercury (checkered bodysuit)
- 93 – Brian May
- 94 – Roger Taylor
- 95 – John Deacon
- 96 – Freddie Mercury (Wembley 1986)
- 97 – Freddie Mercury (Diamond Collection)
The Diamond Collection figure (#97) of Freddie Mercury is an FYE exclusive release but the rest of this wave can be purchased wherever you find your Funko Pops.
The core group of Queen have not performed live together since 1986. Following Mercury’s death in 1991 and bassist Deacon’s retirement in 1997, May and Taylor have continued touring as Queen with Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert taking over lead vocal duties on various tours.
The 2018 biopic, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, reinvigorated interest in the band and won several awards, in particular a Best Actor award for Rami Malek’s portrayal of Freddie Mercury.
