Funko has announced the addition of several Moana characters to the Disney Pop line in anticipation of the film’s Thanksgiving release.

The Moana characters included in the collection include:

  • 213 – Moana and Pua
  • 214 – Maui
  • 215 – Young Moana
  • 216 – Moana
  • 217 – Voyager Moana
  • 218 – Young Moana
  • 219 – Maui

There is also a two pack available which includes Moana with Kakamora. There are a handful of retail exclusives including Target (216 – Moana), Walmart (217 – Voyager Moana), Hot Topic (218 – Young Moana), and BAM! (219 – Maui), which feature the Moana characters in different poses, with different accessories, or in slightly different outfits.

The Disney film, which stars the voice talents of Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson, tells the story of Moana as she sets off on a voyage to a mystical island in order to save her family. She is aided along the way by Maui, a demigod and hero to Moana.

This film features the first Polynesian Disney princess, having already had French, English, Creole, Amphibious, Persian, Scottish, narcoleptic, Native American, Chinese, Norwegian, German, and Greek* princess origins, and has been met with some criticism for accentuating stereotypes of Polynesian culture and body types.

The Funko Pop Disney line includes characters from virtually every Disney franchise of the past 80 years and a complete checklist, searchable by character, sub label, number, variant, or retail exclusivity, can be found under the tab above.
